Inside: This Mother’s Day keepsake craft is perfect for celebrating Mother’s Day. I always create a few and give them as gifts to Grandma (and keep one for your own memory box!). She always cherishes these special one of a kind gifts from her grandchild. In this post I share one of the easiest Mother’s Day crafts to do this year – perfect for beginners and young babies too.
Keepsake Paintings
What mama (or Grandma!) doesn’t love getting these precious keepsake paintings?! I am totally obsessed with these fun footprint and handprint crafts.
They are super easy to create and your little one will have a blast letting their hands and feet get painted. Whenever I paint my toddler’s feet for prints he says, “tickles mama!” and giggles like crazy.
If you’ve never painted with your toddler before, be sure to check out my post on How To Paint With a Toddler. I link all of my favorite painting supplies and give you the run down on how to set up and clean up stress free.

Mother’s Day Keepsake Craft
For this Mother’s Day craft, all you’ll need is paper, a few paintbrushes, and some washable paint. You can make it any color combination you want and really get creative with details. The butterfly could also have fingerprint dots as a wing pattern or you could add scenery details like a handprint sun in the corner or grass at the bottom. Lots of options to make it unique!
This Mother’s Day craft turned out too cute and we were able to gift it to Grandma. My toddler was so proud to give her his special artwork to display in her house. If you loved this post, be sure to check out these beautiful painted flower pots that make the perfect gift as well!
