Inside: This apple ‘crisp’ in a cup is beyond addicting and the perfect cinnamon-filled fall treat your kids are sure to love! I’m equally as obsessed with this as my toddler – it’s SO good!
Apple ‘Crisp’ In a Cup
I couldn’t wait to share this deliciously addicting fall treat with you mamas today! Over this past week, you could find me indulging in second helpings of this cinnamon dessert over nap time (I blame the pregnancy! haha).
My toddler totally went crazy when I presented this dessert to him and ate every last bite.
Ingredients:
- Homemade Vanilla Granola Recipe (I omit the almonds – if using – crush them up for young kiddos)
- Cinnamon Apple Recipe (my favorite ever!)
- whipped cream from a can
- cinnamon for garnish
- clear plastic cups
Instructions:
Bake your granola (this can be done in advance). This vanilla granola recipe is my favorite! It’s extra addicting so I am always careful to measure a portion out for snacks and parfaits. I’m totally obsessed.
Cook up your cinnamon apple recipe (again, this can be done in advance). I’ve been using this cinnamon apple recipe for years – it really is the best and makes the most delicious cinnamon apple glaze ever. I use it in desserts, like the cinnamon apple ice cream treat and sometimes just as a side dish with dinner, like when serving ham. Yum!
If you are cooking your cinnamon apples in advance, simply microwave them before putting together this dessert.
Once your granola and apples are prepared, it’s time to put together your apple crisp cup.
You want to create layers. So add some granola, then cinnamon apples and repeat once. Add a nice swirl of whipped cream to the top and garnish with a bit of cinnamon.
Enjoy while warm!
Don’t say I didn’t warn you that this was addicting!! I love that while this one is indulgent, it is certainly not as high calorie as traditional apple crisp and ice cream, but just as good. A bonus is that it can be made in single servings and can be made more easily in comparison to actual apple pie or apple crisp.
