Inside: This cute springtime keepsake craft is the perfect way to celebrate the end of winter while doing something fun with your kids! Inside this post you’ll see all the details for this fun chick craft perfect for spring or Easter.
Springtime Excitement
I don’t mind wintertime, but I do start to get pretty excited for spring once Valentine’s Day is over. After that, all the fun holidays are over and we (here in Ohio) have just experienced our coldest and snowiest month yet and we are more than ready for some flowers, birds, and sunshine.
I like to do fun springtime activities and crafts to start getting in the mood for spring and break out of our wintertime funk. This little chick handprint craft is the perfect way to kick off spring (or Easter!). How cute is this little yellow guy?!
If you’ve never painted with a toddler before and aren’t sure where to start, be sure to check out my How To Paint With a Toddler post where I give step by step instruction on set up, clean up, and creating these fun keepsakes. I also link all of my favorite painting supplies.

Cute Springtime Keepsake Craft
This little chick was super easy to create using a single handprint dipped in yellow paint. I did the face and feet and the detail work, but you could easily let your toddler create some flowers using thumbprints for petals. You could also use their handprint as the actual flower, like we did in this Mother’s Day Craft.
