- thin paintbrushes (2)
- apple
- cutting board +knife (for apple)
If you’ve never painted with a toddler before, you’re going to want to check out this post detailing all the ins and outs for set up, clean up, and must-have supplies.
How to Set Up Pumpkins On a Vine Craft
Once you’re painting station is all set up, begin by slicing an apple in half. Then, cut a wedge out on either side of the skin surface of the apple, leaving a handle for easy toddler grabbing. See the picture below for an example!
Squirt some orange paint onto your painting station surface (we layer ours with kraft paper).
How to Do Pumpkins On a Vine Craft
Instruct your toddler to dab the apple slice into the orange paint and then direct them to stamp the apple on the piece of paper.
After this step, let your toddler create on their own and stamp away with the apple slices on their paint pad while you focus on the finishing touches for this craft.
For the finishing touches, create a curly green vine on each pumpkin and add whatever message you want at the top of the page. We stuck with a “Happy Halloween! Love, Henry” and it turned out perfect!
